Gunners Mode: Black-burned to ashes

Yesterday we paid a visit to Ewood Park for an away game with Blackburn. 1st team line-up was the usual ones with the exception of Nasri (still being rested for his knee problem, tu laa.. byk sgt ermm.. tade ape, heh). Walcott earned himself a start after a superb hatrick hero performance for England team against Croatia in the previous WCQ match.

The result? A thrashing 4-0 win for us with a hat-trick from Adebayor & a goal from RVP. Im not very happy with Adebayor though. Often caught in the offsides position and that irks me a lot. As for the hat-trick, well.. good for him. That will partly justify the insane amount of wage that he had requested during pre-season. But no cocky goal celebration please.. U r not consistent enough to do just that and to celebrate ala Henry-esque.

Ok Ok.. i guess im still mad at him for his off season antics, heh. But overall, we played very well. Slick passing, good link-up between the players. Just a minor setback on the defense. A bit shaky when dealing with high ball n crosses especially against big tough opposition forwards like Santa Cruz. Have to be wary for the likes of Dean Ashton, John Carew, Yakubu type next time.

For the 1st time ever, myself & amri decided to join the mates from Arsenal FC Supporter Malaysia (AFCSM) for the game. The venue was at OLD KL RAILWAY STATION (near Masjid Negara). Appreciation goes to to Jeff for the invites and also to Mr. Anand, Mr. Sukumar, and the rest of the guys for the warm welcome. Will definitely join you guys again for the club activities & to watch future Arsenal matches.
